It takes just a few minutes to enroll for CareMessages. Simply select the topics of interest to you, and enter basic information, including your email address. You will be sent an email that confirms that your email is working. Click on the link within this email and you are done. You will start to receive Care Messages over time.
In most cases, you will receive a 3-4 messages in the first couple weeks, and then additional messages over the following months. These messages might be sent at a time of year when certain symptoms might additional attention, or when there has been new information regarding your medication.
The information delivered by CareMessages varies from person to person, but might include excerpts of books, medication rebate coupons, self-care tips handouts, support group information, or treatment reminders.
For example, the following messages might be sent to a person who selects the topics "Skin Cancer" and "Medication A".
